I've been going to the gym for about 5 months now. I work out with Sadist Sam on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and on Saturday mornings I do Pilates with Bonnie. Sam tells me I'm her hardest worker and after most of our sessions together, I feel that way. However, I'm feeling a bit frustrated. My body is toning up, but I'm having a problem losing weight. Bonnie sensed my frustration and gave me a pep talk during our Pilates session last week. Concentrating on my breathing and tightening my pelvic elevator was not the easiest thing in the world while carrying on a conversation, mind you.
I'm sure taking off the feed bag would help in the weight loss category. I swear, if it's not nailed down, it's in my mouth. I'm so hungry all the damn time. The hunger, of course, is not the real problem. It's what I'm chowing down to rid myself of the munchies. After Bonnie's pep talk, I went to the grocery and bought a bunch of fruits and veggies, took it all home and cleaned and bagged it for easy snackability. I had some bell pepper slices for a snack today (as opposed to a ham and cheese empanada off the roach coach), so the pounds should just melt away. (Easy peeps, I'm being sarcastic). I guess I should consider it a small victory and try to keep myself on track. I'm my own worst enemy as I tend to sabotage my own success. Bonnie says that talking to a therapist could help me with that issue. Can you see my laying on someone's couch? I'd end up counseling the doctor on his/her problems.
I'm thinking I just need to back away from the trough. Who needs a therapist to tell them that?

I Want To Go Back
The above is the view from "my" spot on the beach. This is where I kicked back on a daily basis, drank my Pineapple and Pineapples, and read my books. It's a good spot. I miss my spot. I want to go back to my spot. Note the shade...very important so one does not fry in the sun all day.
This is the view from my patio. Note, I'm looking right out onto "my spot." It's under the Sea Grape tree....Very conveniently located to the room, thus, mixing drinks was rather simple. Of course, I didn't need to mis too many drinks as I had our little beach girl, Shannon, bring the drinks to me as I comtemplated life under my Sea Grape.
This is a guy who claimed he played in the NFL. Methinks he was fibbing in an attempt to pick me up. Wasn't going to happen. I think this was during happy hour at Duffy's Love Shack. Happy hour at Duffy's begins at midnight and ends at 1 am. It's known as the "Hour of Power." Frighteningly, I took part in the Hour of Power many times. Worse yet, it was right in a row. Nothing like rolling in at 3 am on a nightly basis. Ah, to be back in St. Thomas.

Sorry For The Delay....
Yikes! It's been pure craziness lately! We had some big changes at work, which have turned out to be really positive, but rather time consuming. We replaced our old Customer Service Supervisor with a fabulous individual who puts the customer first and has made some critical discoveries in our operating system that will really enhance our CS department. She's doing a great job and, excuse me while I pat myself on the back, I deserve lots of credit for hiring her! LOL
I was in St. Thomas for a couple of weeks earlier in the month....it was so fabulous...very relaxing and fun. While I was there, though, I did find out that Roark was planning on going forward with MLB and the CCH website. That kind of bites. I've been pretty bummed out about that, but we'll see what happens. Hopefully the changes will not be too much to swallow.
Oh well....enough for now.
